The 90-minute play unfolds as a monologue from the perspective of an unnamed woman, who reflects on meeting the man of her dreams, marrying him, and raising children together. Her first humorous recollection takes place in an EasyJet queue, where they prepare to board a flight to Italy. These seemingly ordinary anecdotes are interspersed with mimed moments, as she interacts with her absent children, Leanne and Danny, offering comments on the differences between them—one a boy, the other a girl.
As the narrative progresses, a dark shift occurs. The woman locks eyes with the audience and, acknowledging the absence of her children, says, "I know they're not here." In a slow unraveling of her story, she recounts the breakdown of her marriage before revealing the shocking truth: this is a tale of family annihilation. Her estranged husband, driven by revenge, murdered their two children before taking his own life.
